  • Daniel Wnukowski, our artistic director, performs a FREE CONCERT for students of Cameron Street Public School at Trinity United Church in Collingwood on Friday, April 26th at 12pm. There will be 200 students attending from the school and the event remains open to the public. The church has a seating capacity of 340 people in total. The presentation will be roughly 1 hour in duration. Come and enjoy the amazing music, lovely ambience and insightful commentary! Info: 705-445-3901

  • Join 60+ musicians on our opening night! The Elmer Iseler Singers, a professional 20-voice chamber choir based in Toronto, celebrates its 40th anniversary together with Collingwood's very own ChoralWorks chorus and the new Collingwood Festival Orchestra.

    The program begins with the spirited beauty of Mozart’s Divertimento in F major led by internationally renowned violinist Mayumi Seiler. Upon hearing a standard selection of choral works by the award-winning Elmer Iseler singers, we will be delighted by Hermann’s virtuosic Capriccio written for 3 violins. The concert ends on a festive note with Beethoven’s majestic Choral Fantasy for chorus, piano, orchestra and soloists.

  • The Story of the Underground Railroad in Canada is a 50 minute school friendly multi-media performance for elementary schools and young audiences. Performers Diana Braithwaite and Chris Whiteley use songs and images to tell the inspiring and uplifting historical story of the underground railroad. This school production has toured for 12 years to over 150,000 students.

  • Sugar And Gold Stories of the Underground Railroad goes beyond the underground journey to relate the story of the arrival, challenges, and riveting experiences of the African-American men and women who became members of Canada’s first Black pioneer communities from coast to coast. Rare photographs and unique images provide a rich historical backdrop to the production while a colourful enchanting musical score with original songs embellish the story with an uplifting musical soundscape. Sugar And Gold – Stories of the Underground Railroad begins with the sugar and gold trade in the 1600’s and weaves this captivating remarkable story through the centuries.

  • Nhapitapi is a dynamic, six-piece ensemble of Zimbabwe musicians, singers, dancers and performers. Songs are performed in Shona and feature rhythmic and musical styles from across Zimbabwe - providing a musical landscape ranging from the cascading rhythms of solo mbira to deep reggae vibes to the danceable grooves of funk and soukous.

  • Payadora Tango Ensemble is a fiery and dramatic South American music from Canada’s hottest new tango band! Payadora Tango Ensemble performs an expansive repertoire that draws from the height of Buenos Aires’ Tango tradition, including compositions and arrangements by De Caro, Pugliese, Troilo, and Salgan, to the masterful, contemporary sounds of Astor Piazzolla and beyond.

  • A World Premiere! "Carnival of the Animals/The Hockey Sweater" is an exciting new musical attraction for the entire family featuring an 11-member instrumental ensemble, mime artist and narrator.

    "Carnival" describes in fourteen movements a veritable bestiary of animals including Kangaroos, Tortoises, Chickens and Roosters, Fossils (mais oui!) and Swans. All of these movements will be introduced through witty poems performed by the great Canadian stage and screen actor RH Thomson, and mime artist Trevor Copp will impersonate the animals. To complete the one-hour program, the two performers will relate the popular Canadian short story, "The Hockey Sweater", by Roch Carrier, with music by Canadian composer Abigail Richardson.
